Verizon took it back! No $2 fee for payments!

I'm excited! Verizon took it back! I had posted earlier about VZ proposed $2 fee for paying online or over the phone. The whole thing is ridiculous. Now is not the time to charge us more for services...much less for paying! I would think Verizon or any company would want to make it as easy and painless as possible to receive payment! I'm glad its settled for now...until next time right??

A snippet of the story: "Facing a backlash from customers, Verizon Wireless said today it will back off of a planned $2 fee for some online bill payments, only a day after the fee was first announced.

The concession by the Basking Ridge company came after customers vented on the web, and online petitions generated more than 50,000 virtual signatures. Before the company’s about-face this afternoon, even the Federal Communications Commission said it was concerned...."

This story made me bawl my eyes out. I want to just reach into the monitor and hug him. It was so admirable of him to make this video for his parents to give them closure. This is exactly the kind of story you need to hear when you complain about your life about trivial things. Some people really want to live.

I got a beach cruiser for Christmas!

I love my new beach cruiser! My sweetiepie got me a bike for Christmas. I'm excited to make it mine and girlie with pink flower decals and adding a "Sweet Caroline" or "ChasinCaroline" to it! I also have my eye on a Hello Kitty bike bell too ;)

It's so clean and pretty that I'm scared to ride it. I don't know if anybody understands how clumsy I am. I'm really afraid of messing the bike up lol. I have a pink helmet that I will be wearing because I know I will crash at some time haha. Sadly, I usually hit stationary items LOL. 

I'm just happy at how blessed I was this year. Thanks baby!

I think I want to add these pink decals to the bike. Unless somebody has seen something cuter?? Let me know!

Annoyed! Confirmed: Verizon Charging $2 Fee for Paying Bills Online or By Phone

I'm already spending $100+ a month for my basic plan and now I have to add a new fee? It's going to make me go old school and pay at Verizon physically. I'm so annoyed!!

Confirmed: Verizon Charging $2 Fee for Paying Bills Online or By Phone

Verizon customers who make single payments by phone or online will be charged a $2 fee per payment starting January 15. The new fee is intended to offset the cost of processing these payments.

“The fee will help allow us to continue to support these single bill payment options in these channels,” Verizon said in a statement toMashable.

Other Verizon payment options such as electronic check, AutoPay and payment kiosks are still free.

Customer representatives for Sprint and AT&T said that those companies charge no similar additional fee for paying by phone or online. The AT&T representative said there is, however, a fee for paying a bill through a customer service representative by phone.

It's a wonderful life!

I had an absolutely blessed Christmas! It was so much fun; full of food, family and friends! Absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. Other than my immediate family gathering, my bf, his son and I were invited into lots of houses to continue sharing the xmas love. As exhausting as it was it was well worth it LOL.
I really did have a blast and am loving life right now. My sweetie got me the coolest beach cruiser...something I've always wanted!! I was also really excited to get "Just Dance 3" from my roomies. I was more than excited to see all my family and friends went out of their ways to include my bf and his son into their christmas budgets. Nothing warms up your heart more than seeing a kids face light up with glee when they open their gifts. They really love it wholeheartingly!
It really is a wonderful life! Hugs and kisses to all in my life :-)

Aaron Hernandez, Patriots

Big fan of the Patriots. My love of all Boston sports is really my last link to my old life in Boston.

I do have a Welker and a Brady Jersey but one day I hope to own the Hernandez one :-). It will be my treat to me after christmas lol. I looove Hernandez. Isn't he just beautiful?

Christmas...my favorite time of year!!

So why is christmas my favorite time of the year? It's certainly not all the madness you must endure leading up to christmas. How can you enjoy this time when there is supposed to be "peace on earth" when we are all scrambling to shop, shop and shop? When we have to fight for parking spaces and the "last one" on sale? It's all very simple...all the pain, stress, & financial strain is all worth it to me to see that smile. That magical slow smile that spreads through a person's face, instantly lighting their faces when they open their gifts.


Until then, I have to wrap gifts. However, it feels like I have been wrapping gifts for weeks now! I buy so much for so many people and kids that I have to pack in phases lol. Place in correct piles. Remove prices. Place in box. Then wrap. Then repeat LOL.


I buy the most for all the kids in my life....I'm surrounded by them so much so that I will never be able to afford my own haha. How do parents do it???


Phew! Ok I guess I better sleep so I can work and continue wrapping tomorrow!

Work is irritating me...

There is so much pressure to get stuff done but what I need to do is tedious. Writing a new website! How does one do this when you are only on part time? Plus how does one do this when you are called into a 3 hour meeting during our holiday party? Did I mention they want me to complete this is 2 days? Its not happening. I also have to add that my designer, whom I'm using to do a bunch other projects I'm working on at the same time, is due to give birth any second now. She's at 38 weeks! So not only am I competing with my boss and colleague for her time but I'm we are also out of time. This is something my boss refuses to accept. [Rolling my eyes lol]. Any good cheap writers out there? Tech inclined would be best....just saying!

I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I had to vent though. I better get back to creating a new website. I think I need a new job lol. Somebody hire me please :) At least you know I can juggle more than 1 task at a time! I am used to wearing many, many hats here LOL.

Rainy Days

I guess not everybody likes a rainy day lol. Poor Chester wasn't allowed out for couple days when it rains lol.

Cake

Baked my first cake a day ago. It was a hit! I followed it by baking a red velvet one for my friends Chanukkah present lol. Another satisfied customer...maybe he'll Yelp me Lol.

This was a good way of personalizing a gift on a small budget. I also gave him a bag full if other munchies :-) Glad he's a foodie like me!

Yelp!

Absolutely love Yelping and attending their functions. Why does someone as anti-social (in person I mean LOL) love gatherings but hate people (hmmm isn't that from Clerks? LOL) well that's simple. I'm a foodie. Love gourmet, indulgent decadent foods. Its my Taurus nature I suppose. Love good food. Don't get me wrong, you'll find me in a McDonald's at lunch but if I'm ever given an option good, expensive food will be my first choice lol. I just can't afford it but do get to do so when I travel for work :) Since I'm not traveling anytime soon I'll have to Yelp my past adventures and catch up lol.


Right now I'm determined to reach 100 reviews by the end of the year. I'm up to 84, 85 reviews on Yelp. Why do I want to? IDK but I love high numbers lol. It bugs me to have low numbers, ratings, followers etc on anything LOL. I work to build things up. 


Alright I better stop blogging..must write for work now!!

Why am I such a chicken?

I'm full of ideas and am a very creative person but I am a Taurus. I consider myself a walking contradiction, as much as I get bored of the same, my Taurus nature comes out and I want to keep things the same. I love predictability, comfort and keeping it as simple and natural as possible. How can you crave the same and want a change at the same time? Quite the conundrum if you ask me. For instance, I started tweeting and facebooking because I love sharing information. That has lead to my quest to learn Social Media. I'm very good at boiling things down to "Just the facts" but I'm taking my sweet time in learning this new industry. I have a high Klout (51 last time I checked) so I'm doing something right but don't ask me what. And how can I start a new business doing this if I don't understand why it works?? See where I'm stuck? I even have potential new clients wanting me to do this for them but I've yet to make a single move. I figure if I blog about it, it may force me to pick up some momentum ahaha.

Now can somebody throw me a crowbar to dig me out of my comfortable little hole in the world? LOL please??

Big Bear in 2012 or bust!

Love taking vacations but they don't come around to often. I'm happy if I can get away a weekend so I'm excited to plan a winter trip to the mountains next year. Sure I've been there now a few times but its always so pretty, clean and calming. Hope we don't have to get snow tires but planning on saving to get some. Anybody have ideas where to get some snow chains?

We always go snow tubbing one day out of the weekend. So much fun! You pay $25 for a few hours of behaving like children lol. Really cool but need snow pants now because jeans are heavy when they get wet!!
